A petition has reached over 100,000 signatures in record time calling for a ban on Donald Trump to travel to the UK, a staggering statistic, but what I find even more staggering is the sheer level of bigotry, yes bigotry that those who have signed this petition are displaying.
Let me break it down simply, the definition of a bigot;
A person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.
What is Trumps crime? Has he killed anyone? Has he beheaded anyone? Has he done anything other than simply have an opinion?
As far as I see it, all Mr Trump has done is express genuine concern about a growing problem and provided a temporary “solution” to preventing more terrorist entering his country, which he is well within his rights to do considering the current threat that his country faces – and purely for wanting to protect his country, he is faced with this ludicrous barrage of bigoted abuse for it.
I am genuinely ashamed that it has come to this, especially after the world came together as one to applaud the Charlie Hebdo staff for exercising their right to free speech, and yet when Mr Trump expresses an opinion he is shouted down and attempts are made to silence him by this ridiculous petition calling for his right to travel to be banned purely because of his god given right to express an opinion.
Where is the petition calling for the deportation of Islamic preachers in the UK Anjem Choudry for example? Where is the petition calling for the deportation of the rape gangs in Rotherham? Where is the petition calling for the release of a women who is being stoned to death for the crime of Adultery in Saudi Arabia? Where is the petition calling for an end to the barbaric practise of Halal slaughter?
Just why are there 100,000 people and growing in the UK so vocal about defending a fascist ideology than protecting the rights of those citizens who are genuine victims of Islamic terrorism.
I will quite happily go on the record and say I am intolerant of stoning women to death, I am intolerant of homosexuals being killed, I am intolerant of soldiers being beheaded in our streets, I am intolerant of women wearing a burqua, I am intolerant of animals being slaughtered inhumanely, I am intolerant of a faith that openly calls for the death of non-believers, so if that makes me a bigot then I am frankly proud of it.
Its a sad state of affairs that this country has come to shouting someone down for simply wanting to protect their country, those that signed this gross petition will be the death of their own culture, and are assisting the spread of this violent ideology. When countries are taken over and more innocent people are killed, blood will be on your hands for allowing this to happen.
