Donald Trump has been hitting the headlines recently with some fairly controversial comments that if he was to become President, he would initiate a blanket ban on any Muslim immigration until they can “figure out the situation” on Islamic extremism and how to deal with it.
Trump goes on to discuss the “hatred” Muslims apparently have for Americans and America;
“Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine,” “Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life” Trump says in the statement.
Trump is the first (potential) President who has gone on the record with a stance that is pretty black and white, contrary to his competition that don’t seem to have any plan at all in tackling the problem within Islam, instead they simply issue weak politically correct statements that does nothing to acknowledge the root cause of the problem or offer any form of solution?
Whether you like him or not, when you are the President of a country that you wish to protect, tough decisions need to be made, otherwise, before you know it you’ll be in-directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of your own citizens as a result of more Islamic terrorist attacks that could have been prevented.
What is the alternative? Clearly there is an issue with Islamic extremism, it’s not “racist” or fascist for pointing out that since 9/11 their have been 44,000+ terrorist attacks specifically caused by Muslims in the name of the religion, so whilst these figures still represent a minority of the Muslim community would you allow 10 strangers to come to your children’s party if one of them was a pedophile?
I’m sorry, but until the problem is fixed, this minority of terrorists are spoiling it for the rest of the muslim community and thats just tough shit. If the majority of peaceful moderate American Muslims all came out and started routing out extremism within their community and in the Mosques then that would be a start, but there is only ever a palpable silence from the majority whenever atrocities are committed in the name of the religion that they claim has been hijacked.
Clarion for example has identified over 80 radical Islamist mosques in the US that are actively promoting pro ISIS / Hamas propaganda and in January, a prominent Muslim leader in the United Kingdom with links to the Terrorist organisation “The Muslim Brotherhood” estimated that half of the mosques in America were founded by Brotherhood members. That is a staggering statistic that needs to be taken very seriously?
Has a single “moderate” muslim who practises their faith at any of these mosques reported these hate crimes to the police? No, not a single one, so whilst on the surface many “moderate” muslims will appear friendly and peaceful, it’s clear from the research done at these particular mosques that when you dig a little deeper, they all support the Saudi / ISIS interpretation of Islam, which is clearly not compatible with American values, which is exactly what Trump want to protect, and rightly so.
The problem already exists, and until the radicals who are already operating and settled in the US are dealt with, you cannot think about letting more in even if that is at the cost of “peaceful” moderate muslims that want to take pictures of the statue of liberty or a cheeky Halal weekend away in Vegas, that’s simply like shovelling snow whilst it is still snowing.
There is nothing racist or fascist about prohibiting a religion that slaughters 4,000 innocents per month for not being Muslim.
Do we allow members of the Nazi Party to immigrate? No.
Are Syrian refugees allowed to immigrate into Islamic countries? No.
Are Americans allowed to immigrate into Islamic countries and practice their religions? No.
Are gays allowed to immigrate into Islamic countries? No.
Can muslims choose to reform their societies instead of running away to the West? Yes.
Having these opinions used to be in the minority, but clearly America has had enough which was inevitable and Trump is on his way to White House with a commanding 14 point lead as it currently stands.
I will agree, Trump may not articulate himself in the best way, but whether you like him or not he has America and it’s citizens best interests at heart. I just wish other Prime Ministers would follow suit and at least identify the problem as a start and provide a proper alternative to tackling this issue before it gets worse, and it will.
