It is a sad day in the world of rugby union today when it was announced that one of the greatest rugby players to ever grace the sport has passed away. Jonah Lomu was one of the most feared wingers in the game, and terrified the opposition whenever he got the ball with his sheer power and speed.
One of the true greats, he was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame on 9 October 2007, and the IRB Hall of Fame on 24 October 2011and led New Zealand single handedly to become the champions of the first Tri Nations Cup in 1996.
Lomu suffered numerous injuries throughout his career but it was a rare kidney disorder that led to his retirement from the sport in 2003. Amongst his many accolades, he also brought out possibly the best rugby playstation game, ever..
#RIP big man 🙂
